First Flourish at Winsford St Chad’s

St Chad’s CE Primary School in Winsford is one of our first schools in the Diocese to roll out

the Flourish Project with a service held in school on the 17th October.

Flourish is an innovative pilot project from the Church of England taking place in 42 schools across the country, seeking to start new, intergenerational worshipping communities within schools. We have four schools taking part in the pilot over the next 2 years in Chester Diocese.

The service at St Chad’s Primary welcomed 97 children and adults, including some ex-pupils. There were lots of dads which was great to see and a number of whole families. The young leaders wrote the service, set it all up and baked brownies for refreshments.

Headteacher, Catherine Speed said

"We were delighted to see the service so well attended. Our young leaders had fantastic ideas for the service and it was a joy to see them leading worship."
