Saughall All Saints: Smart idea for Lent to raise cash for charity

For Lent this year, Saughall All Saints Primary School have taken on a fun charity fundraiser challenge. Each child in school was asked to pick a charity that they want their class to raise money for and find out some information about this charity. Each child then shared their chosen charity with their class and the classes voted on which charity they wanted to raise money for.

The children emptied a Smarties tube (or something similar) and, during Lent, fill the tube with any spare change they have at home. The tubes are labelled with the child's name and class and brought back in to school before the Easter holidays. Staff will count how much money has been raised for their class and this money is sent to their chosen charity.

We can’t wait to see how much spare change the children fill their tubes up with!
