DBE Team welcomes David Burrows as Schools’ Adviser

We are delighted to welcome David Burrows to the DBE team as Schools’ Adviser.  David, who took up the post at the start of January, will  be providing support for schools and leading some of our networks alongside Mark Whitehill, School Effectiveness Officer. 

David was the headteacher of Dawpool CE Primary School in Thurstaston, so brings with him a wealth of church school experience, further strengthening the DBE team and its offer to Diocesan schools.

David said, “I am delighted to join the Board of Education, working alongside the DBE team to support the unique Christian character, identity, and practice of our Church schools. I look forward to meeting everyone in due course through the various activities of the DBE.”

Sue Noakes (Deputy Director of Education) stated "Having worked closely with David as headteacher of one of our schools, we are so pleased that he has joined our team and we look forward to using his skills and experience for the benefit of our schools and their children, across the Diocese."
