Chester Diocesan Learning Trust (CDL) welcomes more schools

Saint Paul teaches, ‘the body is not made up of one part but of many.’

Chester Diocesan Learning Trust recognises and nurtures the unique gifts, skills and talents within our whole community.

We will empower adults and children to grow in character and mind,

shaping a better future.

Four more of the founding schools join Chester Diocesan Learning Trust (CDLT) the second Diocesan Multi-academy Trust (MAT) founded by Chester DBE.

Following the launch of the Chester Diocesan Learning Trust (CDLT) last month, four more of the founding schools have now joined the Trust from the 1st November.  Sue Noakes, in her role as Trust interim CEO is delighted to welcome the schools to the Trust to further strengthen the collaboration of the schools.

CDLT's vision is based on Paul's letter to the Corinthians where he talks about the church being made up of many parts but being one body. Inspired by this, CDLT celebrates and develops the individual strengths and talents of its children, staff, leaders and schools, supporting one another towards one ambition, shaping better lives, rooted in a Christian context.  The schools marked joining the Trust with a shared act of worship, celebrated in each school with their own distinctive elements included (as had happened with the previous schools).

Schools who joined from the 1st November are:

  • Hoole CE Primary School (Cheshire West and Chester)

  • Hoylake Holy Trinity CE Primary School (Wirral)

  • Lower Peover CE Primary School (Cheshire West and Chester)

  • St Bridget’s CE Primary School, West Kirby  (Wirral)

Furthermore, the Trust has appointed Nicola Winstanley as Chief Finance and Operations Officer who started her role this month.  Nicola brings a wealth of experience as CFOO from The Wings Academy Trust.

CDLT has collaboration at its heart. It celebrates the diversity of all its schools whilst being unified in its vision of one body in Christ made up of many parts.  We wish the schools every blessing and unity as they embark on this new chapter.
