CDAT School Improvement Offer: Geography CPD

Join CDAT for a full day of training with Jon Cannell from the Geographical Association.

Session One: Curriculum Design and Assessment in Primary Geography.

The session will consider how we plan and implement a curriculum that builds and connects substantive, disciplinary and procedural knowledge. It will explore a range of assessment techniques to empower you to create a cohesive geography curriculum which constantly reviews and builds on pupils’ prior learning.

Session Two: The Power of Geography Fieldwork

This hands-on session will provide you with the skills and knowledge to ensure that your pupils experience high quality, memorable geography fieldwork. We will explore the power and importance of fieldwork across all areas of geographical study, sharing a range of techniques that support pupils to make multi-sensory observations about the world around them, including how to collect, analyse and present their data.
