Overleigh St Mary’s CE Primary School follow the Easter Story with a Pilgrim Trail made with Pebbles

At the end of last term, Overleigh St Mary’s CE Primary School created pictures from the Easter story with pebbles and rocks and have installed them around school. The children went on a pilgrim trail around school looking at the pictures and following the Easter story.

It was lovely and the children really enjoyed doing it. Here are a few quotes from the Reception children:

“I can see a donkey. The king has arrived!” A

“That one is when they are having a meal” M

“I can see bread next to the cup” M

“I can see the clothes on the floor. The people were really happy for Jesus to arrive” - H

“It’s the garden of Gethsemane” - W

“They look like grumpy faces” - M

“They wanted to hurt him” - T

"its a cross, Jesus maybe he felt heartbroken”. - I

“That's the three crosses” - N”

“We can hug our friends to show love” - A

The school will invite parishioners from Church to come and do the trail with Ethos group. Fr Antony has already done it and really liked it too.
