Saighton Primary: The Big Sleep In for Charity

Each year for the last few years the we have supported Chester Aid to the Homeless (CATH) in our harvest service.

This year, after harvest, we were visited by the CEO of CATH, Robert Whittal, who received our collection and led a worship on homelessness for the school.

He encouraged our children to continue their support through The Big Sleep In, where children can camp out at home to raise awareness.

We were so proud of Rosabella in Year 5 who decided that as homeless people are outside, that she should be too, and supported the event last weekend in sub-zero temperatures.

She raised nearly £200 for the charity and we celebrated her achievement in worship together.
