Bollington St John’s: Coronation Assembly

On Friday 12th May, after Year 6 completed their final SAT, we held our Coronation Assembly followed by afternoon tea.

It was a glorious chance for our school community to come together and mark the Coronation of King Charles.

The children had all worked in class on special art work and research to commemorate the event. Among work on display was a replica throne, a completed royal timeline of every king or queen from 1066 to present day and crowns decorated with precious jewels. Our Reception children became royal artists, specially commissioned for this very regal task.

We had a thoroughly wonderful afternoon and hopefully ensured the children made memories to last a lifetime.
