Chester Diocesan Learning Trust (CDLT) Celebrates 1st Birthday.
CDLT CEO, Sara Lawrenson shares a special message to celebrate CDLT’s 1st Birthday, on the 2nd October 2026.
“Today marks one year since we officially launched our Multi-Academy Trust, and what a journey it’s been. We have grown from our founding schools to 4, then to 8, and we are excited to welcome 3 more schools into our family by the end of this year!
While growth is wonderful, what fills me with the greatest pride is seeing our vision genuinely lived out every single day: “One Body, Many Parts” (1 Corinthians 12). St. Paul writes that when one part of the body suffers, we all suffer, and when one part rejoices, we all rejoice together. That isn’t just a vision statement on a wall—it is our lived reality. When a school in our Trust faces a challenge, our whole team rallies together to support them. When a school celebrates a victory, we all celebrate as one. We spent today celebrating this milestone together across our schools:
We started the day with a whole-Trust Collective Worship, grounding us in our shared faith, anchor, and sense of belonging.
We brought student representatives together for a fantastic collaborative art project.
Children across all our schools designed birthday cards to share in the celebration.
We enjoyed a high-stakes CDLT Bake-Off!
To top the day off, our Headteachers met with the Central Team to continue our vital work on our Culture Canvas."
