The Bishops’ Blue Coat High: Host a Delightful Easter Tea Party for local Care Home

Just before the holidays, The Bishops’ Blue Coat High School hosted an Easter Tea Party welcoming residents from Grosvenor Manor Care Home The programme of entertainment included dance from our Colour Guard group, singing from our vocal group, Vox and additional musical pieces from Honey Fowler and Seth Johnson.

There was also bingo and a raffle with lots of prizes being won. The event was a huge success, and everyone had a lovely time. It was particularly wonderful to see our student leaders serving elderly members of our local community with such humility, love, and tenderness. We could feel the love of God in our midst and something of the ‘fullness of life’ that was promised by Jesus, and which is epitomised in the Easter message. Our Chaplain, Rev Hana, was invited to say some prayers and also prayed a special blessing over everyone present.

This event was made all the more special through being organised in partnership with our local council and we are thankful to Counsellor Elizabeth MacGlashan from the Great Boughton Ward for funding the event from her Community Fund.
